...The Way Things Were...TM

Status - Retired
With the changes of to deviantART's deviation URLs, this GreaseMonkey script is now all but redundant.

Description
This GreaseMonkey Script is designed to restore the v4 functionality to the URLs used to visit deviations.
Links to ".../deviation/[DEV_NUMBER]" display the deviation at Standard/Zoomed-Out Size.
Links to ".../view/[DEV_NUMBER]" display the deviation at Full-View Size.
This was done because, I kind of liked that functionality in da<v5...

If you are experienced at all this, then just access the version you want from the links above in the "Version History" Section.

Might have been a recent change to the dArchitecture - you're the first to report any problems.
Are there any error messages, or the like? I may look into this when I have some free time, which, unfortunately, will be in about a month's time.

Hmm... I don't know if this is because of the script not working, me screwing something up or what, but whenever I click on the full view link, the picture just disappears entirely. I know it isn't my settings or my plugin that are the problems, so I was hoping this might fix it... no such luck :( Did I manage to screw something up?

Hi Mcmacaddie... That's alot of "M(a)c"...
This script is simply designed to restore the old functionality whereby when you visited a URL which was "www.deviantart.com/view/123" the Full-View was automatically triggered, and visiting "www.deviantart.com/deviation/123" would display the preview of the same deviation.
It's actually quite a redundant script compared to most of my Greasemonkey Work.
I would recommend Uninstalling the "DeviantART - Full View Fixer" script and instead install the "DeviantART - Full Viewer" script at [link]

That, newer, script will default all visits to Full-View and you should then be able to toggle back to preview using the dA-provided buttons.

If you still have problems after installing the Full Viewer script, let me know.

Thanks
Luke

Actually, I tried that... and all it did was make the picture automatically disappear. I've just got my account settings so that it'll display the picture in full view automatically now... but when I click on the zoom out option, guess what happens? *lol*

Thing is, I know it isn't my Java plugins, since they're up to date, enabled and working fine. It's either my browser or something to do with the site itself that's the problem.

Hi,

There's nothing at the link any longer. Is there a new version coming out?

Cheers!

Hey Mate,

All fixed, I simply made a spelling mistake in the link (forgot an underscore). Should work now.

Cheers
